Location: Colorado Springs, CO Salary: $90k - $136k Clearance: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Education: Bachelor's degree (STEM) Experience: 5+ Years OVERVIEW Caribou Thunder is seeking a motivated Principal Test Engineer to support the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) product line under the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). REQUIREMENTS This position is on-site and will focus on supporting the development of modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems. The selected candidate will design, test, validate, and integrate simulation products to advance missile defense system analysis and development. 1. Test and analyze new simulation capabilities and document new features 2. Collaborate with development teams, external users, and customers to define and verify feature acceptance criteria 3. Support agile software teams in simulation development 4. Contribute to architecture design, simulation performance analysis, and validation/verification activities 5. Present technical briefings and updates to MDST stakeholders 6. Conduct research on missile defense systems to enhance modeling accuracy 7. Engage in iterative development cycles with a focus on continuous improvement QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree and 3+ years of related experience 2. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 3. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively 4. Experience with C and Java programming languages 5. Familiarity with Linux platforms and Agile development practices 6. Background in modeling and simulation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 7. Experience writing SQL queries 8. Background with OPIR system simulations 9. Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) 10. Familiarity with large code base M&S systems and discrete event simulation 11. Domain knowledge in missile defense, C2, or M&S development 12.
