Job Type Full-time Description Principal TEMPEST Engineer Primary Work Location: Contractor Facility Must be a U.S Citizen: Yes Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Job Summary Act as subject matter expert for all TEMPEST related exchange between the company and U.S. government agencies. Serve as advisor on national TEMPEST guideline interpretation and program oversight. Specific Responsibilities Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Principal TEMPEST Engineer as subject matter expert for all TEMPEST related exchange between the contractor and U.S. government agencies. Serve as advisor to corporate management on national TEMPEST guideline interpretation and program oversight. Act as the company's representative on the Government Industry TEMPEST Advisory Panel (GITAP)
Act as Company Appointed TEMPEST Authority (CATA) and as the senior member of the contractor's TEMPEST Test Team. Direct TEMPEST operations including: scheduling, budgeting, personnel, procurement of test equipment and supervising of the company's Certified TEMPEST Test Services Facility (CTTSF) and its TEMPEST Team members. Conduct Instrumented Testing Surveys (ITS) and Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI) at government facilities and locations nationwide. Author TEMPEST Test Plans and TEMPEST Test Reports in compliance with the National TEMPEST Specification and COR direction. Manage all TEMPEST related work and activities.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on TEMPEST matters.
Manage and train other contract employees with less experience with TEMPEST activities.
Must attend meetings with the COR and KO to discuss any technical problems or issues dealing with the contract, be knowledgeable of field activities that are summarized in monthly reports and coordinate the submission of travel and training requests and related functions.
Requirements Candidate must be NSA certified TEMPEST Professional II (CTP II).
Top Secret Clearance.
Minimum of 15 years TEMPEST related experience
BS and MS degree in related field. This requirement is waived if candidate has 20 years' experience with strong background in shipboard classified systems.
Coordinate Visual TEMPEST Inspections through the C5ISC ESD-ASB-CSS TEMPEST Office.Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent w/ 5+ Years Direct Relevant Experience
Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills to directly support exercise specific applications.
Strong time management and be eager to start and finish new tasks.
Current Microsoft OS Certification.Physical Requirements and Work Environment Normal office environment and laboratory settings.
Ability to move through confined and restricted spaces
Capable of climbing ladders and stairways
Ability to lift and carry equipment ranging up to 50 - 75 lbs.
