Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Systems Test Engineer - Exercises & Wargames Integration Engineer (25-198) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position, located in Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO., plays a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. Exercise Team Integrator role within the C2BMC National Team, leading exercise efforts, integrating systems into exercises, analyzing performance, and facilitating Warfighter TTP development. Interaction with various NT and MDA organizations. System Engineering processes application in event planning, detailed procedures development, resource integration, execution, real-time performance analysis, and result reporting. Essential Functions: Selectee will become an Exercise Team Integrator within the multi-contractor Integration and Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (NT)
The Integrator will lead exercise I&T efforts, and work with other MDA organizations, to integrate C2BMC, BCM, BOA, and FOXSIM into exercises, characterize C2BMC performance, and provide a venue for Warfighter (WF) Tactics Techniques Procedures (TTP) development in multi-system BMD System (BMDS) tests and exercises

The Integrator will use System Engineering processes for the following:
Test/exercise event planning and plan documentation
Development of detailed test/exercise procedures
Test/exercise resource integration
Test/exercise execution
Near-real-time to real-time analysis of observed performance
Oversight of in-depth analysis of test/exercise results
Reporting of test/exercise results orally and in writing to a variety of audiences (up to and including Program Manager/SES and Flag/General Officer levels)
Responsibilities as part of interacting with non-I&T organizations include, but are not limited to:
Working with other NT OPRs to ensure testability of C2BMC test/exercise objectives and the C2BMC components of test/exercise architectures
Working with the Mission Lead and/or Mission Engineer (DTW) to represent C2BMC in MDA/DT event planning and test/exercise integration and execution
Ensuring proper C2BMC participation in trans-/post event efforts
Contributing to MDA/DT reporting of BMDS test/exercise results
Development and implementation of plans to test/exercise software-intensive systems in various multi-system venues (hardware-in-the-loop and simulation tests/exercises coupled with human-in-the-loop exercises)
Plans must include/address test/exercise methodology, detailed test/exercise procedures, identification and integration of test/exercise resources, data collection, trans/post-test analysis of results
Interpretation of test/exercise results and communication of resulting information to testers, non-testers, and senior program leadership
Documentation of test/exercise, to include architecture, problems/lessons learned, results versus objectives
Development of operational procedures for the execution of C2BMC components
Non-standard work hours are required
Minimal CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain NATO Secret clearance
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Knowledge of networking fundamentals is required
Troubleshooting skills on multi-disciplined computer systems and networks are required
Proficiency in Linux and Windows Operating Systems administration is required
Must have developed software/hardware system test or exercise plans alone and/or as part of a small team, using overall and event-specific program objectives, functional/performance requirements, and planned technical capabilities
Led/overseen the integration of a system under test and associated resources into a variety of test environments
Executed planned test procedures, using GUIs and Linux/Windows commands
Evaluated/analyzed test or exercise results to characterize system performance
Presented test or exercise results orally and/or in written format
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with people within and external to the program in which he/she is working
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must
Ability to execute commands and write test execution/analysis scripts in Linux and other languages
Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense System and its elements is required
Must have familiarity with DoD System Engineering processes as they apply to system testing, to include software test methodologies and terminology, along with associated test tools Preferred Qualifications: Current and Active in-scope DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance is highly desired
Must be able to obtain a NATO SECRET clearance upon joining the exercise team.
Ability to create Linux scripts is a plus
