We have an immediate opening for a
Principal Systems Engineer who will support USAF PEO C3BM. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth.
Position Description: The Principal Systems Engineer will lead assigned technical and engineering efforts in support of USAF initiatives. This senior level position is instrumental in developing joint command, control, communications and battle management (C3BM) and integrated air missile defense (IAMD) solutions for insertion into USAF service systems and acquisition strategy. The position requires collaboration across military services, industry partners, and DoD stakeholders to ensure mission-aligned capability development and system integration.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and execute system of systems engineering efforts for the development joint command and control and integrated air missile defense solutions for insertion into service programs of record
- Develop and execute systems engineering plans for the effort to include leading the development of architectures, requirements, interface specifications, and associated trade studies and analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders across DoD agencies, industry, and technical teams to address system integration challenges and resolve capability gaps
- Develop and execute program plans for the effort to include associated doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership, personnel, facilities and policy (DOTMLFP-P) requirements in support of service acquisition strategy and organize, train, and equip (OT&E) considerations
- Lead the development of integrated test and verification plans for the effort and oversee their execution
- Support MBSE efforts by translating system modeling requirements into actionable artifacts
- Coordinate cross-service C3 and IAMD initiatives to ensure seamless interoperability and alignment with joint and service systems
- Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders
Requirements: - Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of C3BM and IAMD technologies, operational concepts and their supporting components such as sensors and networks
- Experience with various C3/sensor/information fusion technologies and approaches
- Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 20-25% of the time to various destinations
- Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- BS Engineering Discipline (MS Preferred) with 20+ years of technical and project management experience
- Must be US Citizen
Additional Desired Experience: - Experience with IAMD composite tracking networks such as IBCS and/or CEC
- Experience running complex system of systems programs/projects across their lifecycle from concept definition through fielding and sustainment
- C3BM and/or IAMD operational implementation experience
- Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company
