Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) in our Colorado Springs, CO office. Job Summary: Primary responsibilities related to integration, assembly, testing, and checkout (IATC) of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines to include digital and analog signal processing, high power RF transmitters, receivers, antennas, antenna positioning systems, computers, and computer interfaces. Job Duties: Performs software testing on the DARC radar system.
Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
Support agile software development team.
Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions.
Participate in, prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews
Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing
Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate
Reports to the integration and test lead. Basic Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or, 3 years with a Master's Degree or 4 Years with a PhD in a STEM field from an accredited University or College
Active Secret clearance at time of application
Willingness and ability to support international travel up to 50%
Experience in the development of software requirement verification procedures.
Experience generating Modeling and Simulation (M&S) scenarios.
Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures.
Experience preparing test reports.
Experience with C Preferred Qualifications Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines
Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements
Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items
Ability to document and record integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies
International integration and/or test experience
Software development integration and test methodologies
Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
CompTIA Security+ Certification
SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
Experience with large ground data processing systems integration
Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
