Our client, a leader in healthcare technology, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Embedded Systems to join their team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting innovative solutions for patients with kidney disease. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Software Engineer - Embedded Systems

Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Pay Range: $67.00 per hour

What's the Job?
  • Developing critical care software on the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy PrisMax device within an Agile (Scrum) framework.
  • Working with a real-time embedded software system utilizing Green Hills Integrity OS within a complex multi-therapy electro-mechanical device/platform.
  • Proposing design alternatives, creating excellent software requirements, and molding software architecture.
  • Implementing code and unit tests in C/C and performing peer reviews.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create the best solutions possible.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience or a Master's with 3+ years.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various software development lifecycle methodologies including Agile, Iterative, V-Model, etc.
  • Good experience with Embedded SW Architecture, design, development, test & integration, and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions and convince management on courses of action using both written and verbal methods.
