We are seeking an experienced Big Data Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation technologies within our Prisma Access team. We want passionate engineers who love to code, innovate, and collaborate to build outstanding products.
Your Impact - Design, develop, and implement scalable software features on our next-generation security platform as part of Prisma Access.
- Collaborate with development and QA groups to ensure the best quality outcomes.
- Propose and implement improvements to the development process.
- Work alongside DevOps and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues.
Your Experience - 8+ years of development experience.
- Experience building services in the cloud/Kubernetes.
- Track record in creating data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Proficient in message queuing, stream processing, and scalable big data storage.
- Experience with RESTful interfaces and Build Management tools like Gradle or Maven.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and design practices.
- Experienced in Test-Driven Development.
- Background in distributed computing and object-oriented design.
- Expertise in microservices-based deployments.
- Full software development lifecycle knowledge, including coding standards, reviews, and operations.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hive, Kafka, Hadoop, and SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- A proactive, energetic attitude suited for a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- A fast learner, eager to adopt new technologies.
- Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience required.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation for this position varies based on qualifications, experience, and location. For those who receive an offer, the starting base salary is expected to be between $147,000 and $237,500, which may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
