About the role:

As a principal member of the Software Development Team, the Principal Software Engineer will work in a cross-disciplinary team to develop Nanoverse Technologies optical inspection and laser processing products. These products are sold around the world within the semiconductor, flat panel, consumer electronics, automotive, and aerospace industries.

Assignments call for up to 10% domestic and international travel.

What you will do:
  • Architect and implement full-stack software and framework designs at scale. Projects range from controlling hardware to application software to high performance distributed computing on large datasets.
  • Drive best practices in support of the architecture through hands on coding, code reviews, mentoring others and performing as the architectural subject matter expert.
  • Influence and refine software best practices for areas such as automated testing, coding standards and release practices.
  • Mentor software developers in patterns and practices as well as in approaches to issues like identifying bottlenecks.
  • Propose designs and alternatives for internal discussion with key stakeholders and management resulting in functional applications.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines and departments to develop and deploy new products.
What we are looking for:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Candidate must have mastery with C , .NET, Azure or equivalent tools
  • Experience and interest in machine vision is highly desired
  • Hands-on experience and ability to mentor modern software development practices, including git-flow, continuous integration, package management, and containerized builds
  • Experience integrating 3rd party libraries and components, particularly in the space of visualization and streamlined user interaction
  • Demonstrated history of test automation including unit testing, code analysis, and delivering quality software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with software development for capital equipment a plus.
