Location: Colorado Springs, CO Salary: $100k - $150k Clearance: Active Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Education: Bachelor's degree (STEM) Experience: 5+ Years OVERVIEW Caribou Thunder is seeking a Principal Software Development Analyst to join the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) product line under the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC). REQUIREMENTS This position is on-site at in Colorado Springs, CO, and will support the development, benchmarking, and validation of modeling and simulation (M&S) products for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) systems. 1. Research and analyze technical missile defense data to support model enhancements 2. Analyze and document new simulation capabilities and performance metrics 3. Collaborate with development teams and customers to define acceptance criteria 4. Develop software tools to support benchmarking, anchoring, and V&V efforts 5. Create detailed Verification and Validation (V&V) documentation 6. Support agile software teams and simulation architecture development 7. Provide customer support and present technical briefings to stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of related experience, OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience 2. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; self-starter with a team-focused mindset 3. Familiarity with Agile development practices 4. Proficiency with C and Java 5. Experience with Linux environments 6. Proficiency in developing tools using Python, MATLAB, or similar 7. Experience in modeling and simulation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 8. Experience with OPIR system simulations 9. Background in Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe 10. Proficiency with SQL queries 11. Familiarity with large-scale M&S systems and discrete event simulation platforms 12. Domain knowledge in missile defense, command & control systems 13.
