Position Overview

Vaco is searching for a hands-on technical Salesforce Engineer who will be responsible for setting high standards and ensuring exceptional quality across multiple teams. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and guidance on various initiatives. As the technical expert, you must be eager to explored new technologies and industry best practices, integrating them into the Salesforce ecosystem. This role is key in the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex solutions within the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Salesforce strategies in alignment with technology roadmaps, working closely with product management.
  • Define and shape the long-term technical direction for the Salesforce platform, focusing on future enhancements and capabilities.
  • Serve as a thought leader, offering expertise on Salesforce challenges, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, platform strategies, and key technical decisions based on years of experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
  • Design and present a comprehensive, organization-wide technical roadmap that aligns with business goals and internal technology plans.
  • Take responsibility for the design and architecture of technical products, ensuring scalability and quality.
  • Act as a bridge between internal technology teams and product stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with technology partners, engineering, and product teams to influence technical decisions and improve approaches.
  • Build relationships across functions to drive positive change and inspire strategic, successful transformations within the organization.
  • Help maintain the company's focus on risk management and safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of data and systems.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce, including proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, REST/SOAP APIs, integration tools, and data migration.
  • Minimum of two Salesforce certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical and logical approach to technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, including Agile, Scrum, LEAN, and DevOps.
  • Practical experience with test automation across various levels (unit, component, integration, and functional tests).
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
