Description: We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst Salesforce to join our clients' Information Technology (IT) team. The Salesforce team develops and maintains the Salesforce platform. Day-to-day, you will engage with internal customers to understand their needs, provide functional and technical expertise, and deliver quality software that provides measurable business value. As a Salesforce Business Analyst, you will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver results by using application domain knowledge, identify process inefficiencies, and solve problems. You will help the leadership team envision and deliver strategic solutions and ensure deliverables align to business objectives.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $45 - $55 / hr. w2 Responsibilities: - Lead and advise Business Analysts, sharing knowledge and expertise to assist with application functionality and design.
- Provide cross-functional and technical expertise across multiple business areas, including system and process integration points.
- Provide strategic, forward-looking vision when configuring or customizing solutions to maintain flexibility and future integration opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements and functional specifications for complex cross-functional projects; identify unspoken or conflicting requirements and challenge the status quo.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, conflicting business practices, and high-level integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions to cross-functional problems.
- Conduct peer reviews of project deliverables to ensure high-quality solutions and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain productive business customer relationships; be the "voice of the customer" to the IT project team and with project team members; support development and delivery in a collaborative manner.
- Proactively identify ways by which IT can add value to business teams to provide thought leadership and improve processes and effectively communicate them to key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate how new technologies, best practices, and trends can be incorporated into business and IT processes leveraging a strong understanding of end-to-end processes.
- Proactively estimate, plan, manage, communicate, and execute essential duties with a focus on the uniqueness of each project.
- Create or oversee the creation of clear and concise documentation throughout all project phases and activities.
- Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex requirements and business needs, utilizing various techniques such as process mapping; identify and resolve conflicting requirements and trace requirements through to solution; manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives.
- Facilitate the business and operational readiness for deployment of systems and process changes and introduction of new solutions.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to share project information and validate test scripts.
Experience Requirements: - A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in business analysis, application design, implementation, and support or as a super user preferred.
Salesforce Application:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience bringing robust, scalable Salesforce solutions to market required.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external applications, including cloud solutions required.
- Experience working with native Salesforce reporting as well as external reporting systems required.
- Experience with data mapping and data migration required.
- Approximately 15% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements: - Required: Master's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Preferred: Certified Business Analysis Professional or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis certification preferred.

The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
