Principal Project Engineer
Our client is currently seeking a Principal Project Engineer for a staff role, with a salary commensurate with experience. The candidate will work within a dedicated Power team alongside the Civil & Structural department. The position offers a hybrid working model, requiring just 1 day a week in the office, located in the Manchester area, with the rest from home.
The ideal candidate will have experience with transition stations, substation buildings, and power stations. Responsibilities include working on foundations, buildings, bunding for equipment, roads, fencing, and managing project aspects such as costs, resourcing, program delivery, and client liaison.
While experience in the power sector (e.g., SSE, National Grid) is preferred, it is not mandatory. Depending on the project size, the successful candidate may be involved in both design and project leadership roles.
The client emphasizes the need for a candidate with a C&S background, with some experience in leading project management and delivery.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
