Our client is seeking a Full-Time Principal Production Engineer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Louisiana-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.
Responsibilities:- Set daily production targets for the PQ Facility LNG Trains by defining operating limits and collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to develop an actionable daily production plan.
- Develop and maintain real-time, online monitoring and surveillance models aimed at optimizing the availability and performance of LNG liquefaction trains.
- Analyze live operational data to detect deviations from defined operating envelopes and determine corrective actions to safely and efficiently maximize LNG production.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve availability and reliability across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons using insights from real-time systems, physics-based, and data-driven models.
- Proactively assess production risks that could impact availability and reliability, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly production performance reviews by providing technical input and driving follow-up actions for continuous improvement.
- Track and assess production loss events, collaborating with stakeholders such as Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to validate, report, and resolve issues promptly to sustain high availability and reliability.
- Participate in or lead Engineering Investigation Requests (EIRs) and Management of Change (MoC) processes aimed at enhancing LNG train performance.
- Lead or support root cause analyses (RCAs) of production losses as needed.
- Provide key performance assumptions and timely input into the Forecast and Annual Delivery Plan processes.
- Support the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) processes by delivering required data, analysis, and insights.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of Integrated Production Excellence standards, tools, and procedures.
- Capture and document lessons learned from the PQ Facility to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across other Venture Global LNG projects and sites.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Process, Production, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Production Engineer with a proven track record in driving production performance improvements.
- Oil and gas industry experience is required, preferably in LNG. However, experience in petrochemicals, NGL, cryogenic gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing industries may also be considered.
- Position is based in Point Celeste, Louisiana, with occasional travel to other sites as needed.
