role in accomplishing these objectives. The Principal Environmental Services role is responsible for
managing the following activities:



• Oversee acquisition of environmental permits, approvals, and licenses. Includes leading the
acquisition of environmental information needed for siting permit applications for transmission facilities.

• Act as liaison between the company and applicable regulatory agencies.

• Maintain knowledge of current and proposed environmental regulations, statutes, and interpretive guidance.

• Ensure compliance with regulations and permit requirements throughout development, construction, and operations.

• Assist facilities and oversee consultants in the completion of required environmental studies testing, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.

• Supervise acquisition of consultants, including the awarding of contracts, data gathering and analysis, and documenting the validity of all compliance data.

• Prepare and design stormwater pollution prevention plans for Company projects and ensure adherence to these plans and associated permit conditions.

• Provide testimony before state regulatory commissions and/or governing bodies in support of acquiring permits.

• Attend and present information at public meetings and open houses.

• Be the lead internal environmental respondent on Information Requests related to commission filings.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate would hold the following qualifications:

• A degree in the Natural Sciences or Engineering with a strong background in sciences such as
biology and chemistry.

• Requires an in-depth understanding of environmental regulations based on at least 8 years of experience.

• Able to work independent of direct supervision. Able to provide supervision and direction to staff on multiple projects.

• Able to use problem-solving or troubleshooting skills and to critically analyze possible solutions and to provide recommendations for implementation.

• Requires knowledge of Company operations including electrical transmission.

• Must have leadership and interpersonal skills to deal with controversial issues in a professional manner meeting the objective in the best interest of the Company.

• Must have a valid driver s license and enroll in Company MVR program.

o The expected base compensation for this role is $105,000 to $132,000 annually. Actual
base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the
position.
