Overview
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager with a background in environmental or infrastructure engineering to lead the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects across California, including the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Sacramento Area.
This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality technical work, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, proven leadership skills, and a passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project teams for infrastructure planning, design, and construction
- Oversee feasibility studies, master plans, design reports, and contract documents
- Provide construction-phase engineering support, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and change order negotiations
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high technical standards
- Support proposal development and client relationship management
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental or Infrastructure Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 7-15 years of relevant experience in water-related infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing construction documents and managing project delivery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff
