Relocation Assistance is not available for this position, and this role is on-site with no remote options Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program serves as the integrating element of the Missile Defense System. It is a crucial operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle's progression, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges at every phase of flight. C2BMC acts as a force multiplier, globally and regionally networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to enhance performance. C2BMC is an essential part of all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise the capabilities of both current and future missile defense systems. In this role, the candidate will act as a Network Virtualization Engineer and Developer, assisting with network buildouts and deployments to the operational environment as needed. The candidate will collaborate within an agile scrum team and organize work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements. Essential Functions: Will be the primary Network Virtualization Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program
Will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites
The candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel

A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline is preferred from an accredited university, accompanied by 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related STEM discipline with 3 years of experience; or PhD in a related discipline with 1 year experience
Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is necessary to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start

Must possess VMware server installation, configuration, management, performance monitoring, and tuning skills for virtual machines and ESXi servers
Must have experience in developing the tool as well as common usage
Virtual machine troubleshooting and performance issues must be addressed
Must have experience in creating virtual machine (VM) deployment templates and automating deployments
Must understand network-attached storage, specifically the NetApp FAS series
Must have experience with Storage Area Networks (SANs) that guarantee high availability and performance in virtualization
Must have strong communication skills and excellent writing and presentation abilities, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
Must be able to work collaboratively with other highly motivated network engineers in a team environment, as well as independently on large field projects
Must have experience with the Agile Framework or experience in applying Agile fundamentals in engineering-focused work
Understanding standard DOD security practices, such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts Preferred Qualifications: Active and current in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret clearance at the time of application is highly desired
Knowledge and working experience with the following are highly desired:
Authentication & encryption methods/capabilities (ACS, Active Directory, GEM-X)
Virtualization technologies such as VMware, vCenter, and vSphere

Flexible Work Arrangements Additional Northrop Grumman Information: Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
