Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Engineer Systems Architect - MBSE Modeler (25-215) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position, located in Colorado Springs, CO., or Huntsville, AL., plays a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. This position is an architecture model developer for the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) System. The selected applicant will be responsible for the construction, translation from paper architecture products to a digital model, delivery of model artifacts, and collaboration with both internal C2MBC and external MDA stakeholders within an MBSE modeling environment to ensure accurate system representations and behavior. Be a focal point for integration with other modeling teams/environments external to C2BMC (e.g., Models provided/developed by other missile defense partner organizations). Essential Functions: Support the development of architecture models
Perform model configuration management
Must be an experienced modeler who will mentor junior systems engineering team members to enhance skills in the department
Work will be performed under the supervision of the Digital Engineering Team (DET) Lead and DET Architecture Model Lead
Will require interfacing with other technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available
Additional responsibilities include reviewing the content and details of technical products
Acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis
Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning and status
Increasing responsible Systems Engineering roles in the development, integration, and support of large-scale software-intensive systems Salary range for Colorado Springs: $100,300 - $150,500
Salary range for Huntsville: $105,400 - $158,000 Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. Bachelor's Degree in STEM Computer Science, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a STEM Master's degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or PhD in a STEM related discipline with 1 year experience
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Must have experience as an architecture model developer
Developing model artifacts consistent with SysMOD and OOSEM methodologies
Developing modeling using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF 2.0) modeling framework within the CAMEO development environment
Working knowledge of MBSE standards to guide model development
Working knowledge of Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs)
DOORS for requirement management and experience linking requirements to the architecture model
Delivering data products from a modeling platform using tools such as:
Collaborator
VTL scripts
Webify
Tom Sawyer and other similar tools
Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of product development within a secure environment, and the Security Classification Guideline (SCG)
Experience building digital architecture models.
Must have experience linking architecture models with DOORS-managed requirements
Demonstrated experience building and modifying all viewpoints within the DoDAF 2.0 modeling framework
Must have a good understanding of general systems engineering practices and tools, such as:
Agile using Atlassian JIRA
Confluence
SharePoint Preferred Qualifications: CAMEO development environment experience using the DoDAF 2.0 modeling framework is highly preferred
Experience integrating Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs) and CAMEO via TWC Datahub is highly desired
Custom plug-ins and other modeling tool customizations are highly desired

Flexible Work Arrangements Additional Northrop Grumman Information: Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $158,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
