We have an extensive backlog of DSEAR work (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) across the UK in multiple markets. As a Principal DSEAR Engineer, you'll support our engineering teams in transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects both domestically and internationally.
Our expertise spans multiple challenging sectors including Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide comprehensive engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, adding value through client-side support and construction phases. Your Responsibilities:
- Lead a team in technical design work adhering to relevant standards and high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Maintain quality assurance standards in design processes.
What You Bring:
- Chartered Engineer, preferably with training in hazardous area determination and risk assessment from a recognized body.
- Experience leading DSEAR in design delivery, ideally within the water or related process industries.
- Strong knowledge of DSEAR applications, including risk assessment and area classification per EN 60079-10 and IP 15.
- Understanding of DSEAR legislation, ATEX directives, and CDM regulations.
