A fast-growing enterprise SaaS company is hiring a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead cloud platform initiatives. This is a highly strategic role focused on building scalable, high-performance systems for managing complex data workflows in the cloud.
What You'll Do:
You'll define the roadmap and architecture for automated, zero-downtime infrastructure and data systems, partnering closely with engineering leadership to drive scale and performance across a multi-tenant environment. You'll be hands-on in platform development while mentoring other engineers and shaping infrastructure strategy.
What We're Looking For:
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Strong AWS experience
- Skilled in container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Background in distributed data systems like Elasticsearch, Kafka, DynamoDB, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong focus on observability and uptime
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leading major architecture efforts
- Ability to operate across stacks with fluency in modern programming languages
Bonus Points:
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and complex dataflows
- A security-first mindset and comfort evaluating 3rd party components
- Previous experience in highly regulated or mission-critical industries
