Join our dynamic team as a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, where you will lead the development of a cutting-edge platform that continuously monitors and reports on the effectiveness of Cox Automotive's critical cyber controls. Your role will involve close collaboration with teams from across Cox Automotive, ensuring that our cybersecurity measures are robust, effective, and ultimately, a trusted part of our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create intuitive reports tailored to various audiences, including engineering teams and senior technology executives.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and technology teams to develop effective scoring algorithms and measurement criteria.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive data model that aligns with critical cybersecurity objectives.
  • Lead requirements and design discussions, managing the backlog to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with technical partners to establish a data stack that enhances end-user insights.
  • Create complex database queries and visually engaging dashboards for effective data aggregation and insights reporting.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify problems, formulate hypotheses, and determine the best methodologies for solutions.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing to guarantee high data availability and quality.
  • Develop and implement a training program for continuous control monitoring resources.
  • Mentor team members in the Continuous Control Monitoring group.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of experience, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create effective visualizations.
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools and techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, and experience with tools like Power BI and Snowflake.
  • Proven success in project and operational delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CIS, and OWASP.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, SANS GIAC, C EH, CISM, CRISC, or CISA will be a plus.
Salary Range: $119,600.00 - $199,400.00 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
