The Principal Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats posed by foreign intelligence services, insider threats, and espionage activities. This role involves intelligence analysis, investigative support, and strategic assessments to protect national security interests and sensitive information. Key Responsibilities:
• Threat Analysis: Analyze intelligence related to foreign espionage, insider threats, and counterintelligence risks.
• Investigative Support: Provide analytical support to counterintelligence investigations, helping identify suspicious behaviors, unauthorized disclosures, and security vulnerabilities.
• Reporting & Briefing: Produce intelligence reports, threat assessments, and briefings for policymakers, military leaders, and security officials.
• Operational Support: Assist in counterintelligence operations, including surveillance detection, deception strategies, and countermeasures.
• Cyber Threat Intelligence: Identify and assess cyber-enabled threats related to espionage, insider threats, and foreign intelligence activities.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work with law enforcement, military intelligence, federal agencies, and private-sector partners to share intelligence and enhance security measures.
• Data Analysis & Research: Utilize open-source intelligence (OSINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), and other sources to assess threats.
• Security Policy Development: Support the development of policies and procedures to mitigate espionage risks and strengthen insider threat programs. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Bachelor's, Master's or Juris Doctor degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Economics or a related field. Experience:
• 10-15 years of experience in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, or security operations
• Experience with classified intelligence programs, military intelligence, or federal law enforcement is preferred.
• Active TS SCI required. Skills & Competencies:
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to assess threats and recommend security countermeasures.
• Experience with intelligence databases and analytical tools.
• Understanding of espionage tactics, tradecraft, and counterintelligence techniques.
