Principal Cost / Data Analyst (Subject Matter Expert)
Location: Huntsville, AL Telework and travel will be required Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Cost / Data Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert in cost analysis, cost estimating, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience-with 20 or more years. This role calls for a proven track record in developing comprehensive lifecycle and specialized cost estimates, applying advanced data analysis techniques, and conducting thorough cost/benefit analyses. In addition, this position involves performing contractor performance evaluations, providing dynamic programmatic support, and spearheading knowledge management initiatives to foster organizational efficiency and continuous learning. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science or related discipline, from an accredited college or university is required. A degree in another subject requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics, statistics, or programming may satisfy the requirement. Key Responsibilities: Lifecycle & Specialized Cost Estimates: Create and manage comprehensive lifecycle as well as specialized cost estimates to support project planning and execution. Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize cutting-edge data analytics practices to generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Cost/Benefit Evaluations: Conduct detailed cost/benefit analyses to assess program and project performance effectively. Contractor Performance Analysis: Perform in-depth evaluations of contractor performance to enhance operational efficiency and accountability. Programmatic Support: Deliver robust programmatic support, ensuring that projects and initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals. Knowledge Management: Drive and implement strategies for knowledge sharing and organizational learning to optimize data use across the enterprise. Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 20 years of proven experience in cost analysis, cost estimating, or data analytics. Candidates with over 20 years of specialized expertise are highly regarded. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Masters in Cost Estimating and Analysis, Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related fields) may substitute for a combined total of 1 year of experience. International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association Certification can be substituted for a combined total of 1 year of experience. Active SECRET security clearance required Certifications: Relevant professional certifications are highly valued and will bolster a candidate's eligibility.
