Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Principal Contracts Administrator to support the Air Force's ICBM weapon system and Sentinel. These are long-term sustainment and acquisition programs which are anticipated to remain operational until 2075. This individual is a member of a dynamic Contracts team that supports the delivery of mission critical capabilities in support of the MMIII sustainment and Sentinel development efforts. The Contracts organization is the trusted business partner managing customer relationships, negotiating deals, creating innovative solutions, and providing regulatory knowledge to our customers. Additional Responsibilities include: Provide leadership and guidance for Contract Administrators, acting as a sponsor and coach for daily contractual activities, providing guidance on contractual/business issues, and assisting in preparing proposals, completing negotiations and drafting of contract terms. Grow and develop other Contract Administrators and Contract Managers through leadership Champions strategic knowledge of the customer environment and business context for all contracting opportunities. Independently lead and manage proposal activities including, analysis of solicitations, developing strategies and recommendations, preparing terms and conditions, leading the development/writing of the cost volume and contracts documentation volume, reviewing the technical and pricing proposals for accuracy, compliance and consistency and conducting business risk assessment. Leads and supports fact-finding and other audit activities. Influence Contract changes to reduce business impacts. Lead complex negotiations with an emphasis on implementing a strategy that creates a win/win situation. Serve as a trusted business advisor to the Strategic System management for contractual rights and obligations, risk mitigation alternatives and business strategy. Ensuring that all contractual arrangements offer the Company a reasonable probability of accomplishing the business objectives. Foster and maintain relationships with counterparts within the customer organization and between all functions within BAE Systems. Oversee management of multiple contract types, such as Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Material, Cost Plus Incentive Fee and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Maintain an in-depth knowledge and working understanding of the U.S. government acquisition and procurement environment, export and FAR/DFAR regulations Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree Minimum 6 years of relevant experience Strong written and verbal skills with a clear understanding of contract formation principles Experience working with FAR and DFARS and the DoD and/or Air Force policies Draft complex terms and contracts/agreements Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with Intellectual Property Experience with Other Transactional Agreements Experience with identification of risk and ability to implement strategies to reduce that risk Experience with complex contracts Experience with all types of pricing activities (Whitepapers, Rough Orders of Magnitude, Competitive and Sole Source Proposals Ability to perform in a complex cross functional business environment Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team leader Ability to make decisions and close actions Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81336 - $138271 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
