Principal Appian Developer
Location: Bristol, Leicester or Plymouth + Hybrid Working Arrangements (two days per week in the office)
Compensation: £75,000 - £80,000

The Role
As a highly skilled and experienced Principal Appian Developer, you will lead a team of dedicated developers to deliver technical solutions for customers on time and to the expected quality standards set by the Systems Development Manager.
Day-to-day responsibilities include working with multiple workflow applications (both new and existing), undertaking requirements reviews, technical design, modelling, software development, unit testing, and deployment of applications, along with continual improvement of existing applications.
- Ensure software development complies with IT quality standards, plans, and procedures.
- Implement efficient software development practices using sound design and implementation methodologies.
- Perform unit testing to verify that developed software meets requirements.
- Participate in workshops, reviews, stand-ups to discuss project progress, demonstrate work, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation supporting the completed applications.
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, offering hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
Agile working arrangements may be available, applying principles of fairness and consistency while meeting business needs. Essential Experience
- Proven extensive development experience.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
- Experience with waterfall, iterative, and agile delivery approaches.
- Extensive experience with BPM software applications like Appian, along with development tools such as IDEs and source code management.
- Business process modelling using UML and BPMN techniques.
