Principal Appian Developer
Location: Bristol, Leicester or Plymouth + Hybrid Working Arrangements (two days per week in the office)
Compensation: £75,000 - £80,000

The Role
As a highly skilled and experienced Principal Appian Developer, you will lead a team of dedicated developers to deliver technical solutions for customers on time and to the expected quality standards set by the Systems Development Manager.
Day-to-day responsibilities include working with multiple workflow applications (both new and existing), undertaking requirements reviews, technical design, modelling, software development, unit testing, and deployment, as well as continual improvement of applications:
- Ensure software development adheres to IT quality standards, plans, and procedures.
- Implement efficient software development practices using good design and implementation methodologies.
- Perform unit testing to verify software meets requirements.
- Participate in workshops, reviews, and stand-ups to discuss project progress and communicate with stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for completed applications.
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements of 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Agile working may be available, and flexible working options such as part-time, condensed hours, or job sharing will be considered. Please discuss alternative patterns during the interview process.
Essential Experience
- Proven development experience in relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
- Experience with waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies.
- Extensive experience with BPM software applications like Appian and development tools such as IDEs and source control.
- Business process modelling using UML and BPMN techniques.
