A mid-size GovCon is looking for a Pricing Analyst to be responsible for preparing timely, accurate, and compliant cost proposals. This position will report to the Pricing Director and will work closely with various internal teams and potential external partners to generate pricing/cost narratives for proposal responses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of proposal pricing in the defense sector and related markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost/price proposals that comply with RFP requirements, organizational estimating systems, and relevant procurement regulations (eg, FAR).
  • Review RFP/RFQ documents and identify key questions that impact pricing compliance and strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Capture, Business Development, Contracts, HR, Operations) to ensure cost proposals are compliant and compelling.
  • Work with senior staff to determine pricing structure, competitive analysis, and overall strategy.
  • Coordinate with the proposal team to create and adhere to cost volume schedules.
  • Develop internal and external price volumes, including cost narratives.
  • Work with primes and subcontractors during pricing proposal development.
  • Present pricing materials in executive reviews.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-8 years of experience in pricing for Government solicitations and proposals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with ProPricer.
  • Experience with complex prime cost proposals valued at $50M+.
  • Expertise in creating pricing models and performing financial analysis to support pricing decisions throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Experience developing compliant cost/price volumes, including cost narratives, for large government proposals.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Familiarity with dissecting cost/pricing requirements from government solicitations.
  • Knowledge of various contract types (eg, Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus) and the FAR.
  • Experience developing compliant OCONUS cost models.
