Description

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or Related Field Required (Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, etc.)
  • Certification in IC&RC Prevention Specialist I or II Eligible Required
  • Experience in Substance Abuse Prevention or Community Health Preferred
  • Experience Working with Multiple Community Sectors and Working with Youth Preferred
  • Experience Working with Grant Funds, Project Coordination, Outreach, Public Relations & Public Speaking Preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Prevention Services Administrator will assist in the development and implementation of funded programs in compliance with WV Statement of Work (SOW) Goals, Objectives and Outcomes. They will draft plans, facilitate meetings and coordinate a training program. They will be responsible for county-level plan implementation TA and coalition engagement TA. This person will be responsible for implementation of the SOR ODCP SOW, acting as facilitator for collaborations between local coalitions and community stakeholders, linking organizations and individuals with needs along the continuum of care to services, and coordinating efforts to impact Substance Use Disorder (SUD) at the local level. This person will facilitate stakeholder meetings, document resources, and identify the needs of the community informed by the Strategic Prevention Framework and local, state and federal data. This person will provide intensive community preventative measures to reduce the negative outcomes associated with SUD for both individuals and the community and capitalize on grassroots efforts to promote the life skills and needs individuals in recovery need to support themselves and their families. This person will ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environments in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations and generally accepted practices.

TASKS - DUTIES - RESPONSIBLILITIES
  • Prev Dept & Sub-Grantee Training Program Development & Coordination
  • Draft Prev Dept Funding County Level Action Plans with Project Coordinators to Include County Level Activity in Compliance with WV SOW Goals, Objectives & Outcomes
  • Prevention Dept Staff County Plan Implementation TA
  • Collect & Assess Prev Dept Staff Plan Implementation Progress Reports & Report to Director of Prevention
  • Coalition Engagement TA
  • Collect & Record Region1 Data
  • Use Local, Regional, State and Federal Data to inform the Strategic Prevention Framework & Share Data with Stakeholders
  • Draft 5yr/Annual Comprehensive Prevention Plan (SOR ODCP) in Compliance with Grant Goals, Objectives & Outcomes, using the 6 Proven Prevention Strategies with Target Populations, Culturally Appropriate & Evidence-Based Practices
  • Coordinate All Plan Activity to Implement the Annual Comprehensive Prevention Plan in Compliance with Grant Goals, Objectives & Outcomes
  • Network and Strengthen Partnerships with Local Organizations and Individuals to Implement Plan Activity
  • Support & Sustain Local Community Coalitions and Active Youth Coalitions using Tools Provided by Youth MOVE National
  • Provide BBH, Marshall University & ODCP Approved Prevention Education
  • Attend All Required Trainings and Meetings
  • Prepare, Submit & Maintain Monthly Activity Reporting Forms, Plan Progress Reports and Other Required Documentation
  • Research and Assist with Securing Alternative Funding Sources to Implement & Sustain Projects
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned
