Statement of Purpose:

The Manager of Prevention Data and Reporting will direct and train Program Specialists and Prevention Managers and oversee CAN Community Health, Inc.'s prevention and education data collection and reporting and provide strategic plans for effective prevention and education efforts to ensure optimal utilization.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist Director of Operations with strategic planning efforts.
  2. Monitor compliance with all funded and unfunded programs and assist with any corrective action necessary.
  3. Assure that the team is following established standards, including workplans, budgets, project organization and governance structures, communication, performance.
  4. Develop and report on prevention staff and team performance goals and measures on an annual basis.
  5. Manage the collection, storage and analysis of grant -related data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  6. Develop and maintain reporting systems to provide insights on both grant performance and utilization as well as unfunded program performance and utilization.
  7. Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes.
  8. Monitor and maintain project plans, budgets, and expenditures.
  9. Resolve reporting or program issues and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  10. Organize or participate in programmatic stakeholder meetings and community engagement and outreach related to data collection and/or strategic planning.
  11. Promotes and practices CAN Community Health Inc's mission and values and follows its policies and procedures.
  12. Ensure confidentiality is maintained by entire team regarding patient/client information in accordance with HIPAA, professional and departmental standards.

Travel:

Travel is primarily during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is expected. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver's license.

Requirements:

Education/Professional:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or equivalent experience in social and public healthcare services; MPH would be ideal
  • HIV/STI programming or experience preferred but not required
  • Data collection, project management and reporting experience required.

  6. Computer literate, ability to learn and utilize computer software programs especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • General Orientation HIPAA Sexual Harassment
  • Violence in the Workplace HIV/AIDS Health Stream Courses (as assigned)

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, audio visual, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Neat, professional appearance.
  2. Sedentary- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly in lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Involving sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
  3. Requires expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word, visual and auditory acuity.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This position may require additional time above normal operating hours and on occasion weekend work.
