We are a family-oriented Midwest and East coast based company; with locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Mechanical Repair Technician with the drive to learn and become a successful member of our Service Team. Crane offers on-the-job training, and opportunity for further education / apprenticeship program.

What You Get To Do

  • Assist with precision overhauls of pumps, valves, agitators, and other rotating equipment in house and at customer site
  • Perform inspection, cleaning, painting and final preparation of equipment rebuild projects
  • Maintain organization of job staging areas
  • Maintain organization of incoming parts and equipment
  • Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on service equipment and tools
  • Assist and learn from Service Technicians. Develop new skills related to precision repair and overhaul of rotating equipment through on the job training and formal training
Requirements:

What We Need From You

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background in automotive, construction and/or mechanical contracting a plus.
  • Comfortable using and learning new computer systems and software.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • The nature of our service business focuses on precision repair, maintenance, and installation of fluid process equipment. Crane Engineering is committed to training the right candidate in the skills required to be a successful Service Technician.
  • Positive, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards.
  • Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload.
  • Well-organized and self-directed team player.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
