Description:

Production Castings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our die casting and machining operations. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems essential to the continuous operation of our facility. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on die casting, CNC, and support equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues with production machinery.
  • Repair and maintain equipment such as die casting machines, trim presses, CNCs, conveyors, and cooling systems.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing systems as required to meet production needs.
  • Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work, including service logs and parts usage.
  • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently; escalate any safety concerns to supervision immediately.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to minimize downtime and improve machine performance.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Keep work area clean and organized; support continuous improvement initiatives.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a metal casting or machining environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, and AC/DC motor repair.
  • Familiarity with CNC and PLC systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Welding and basic fabrication skills preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on call for emergency repairs if needed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and varying temperatures common in a foundry/machining environment.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and operate forklifts or scissor lifts as needed (training provided).
