Job Title: Bindery & Finishing Operator
Location: Cranbury, NJ
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
Compensation: $20 an hour (or based on experience which we will be competitive with pay as well as offer full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, life, and supplemental coverage)
About the Role
We're hiring a Bindery & Finishing Operator to join the production team of a high-volume commercial print facility. This role is essential in transforming printed materials into their final, client-ready form through cutting, folding, binding, and packaging. You'll work with advanced finishing equipment and must bring proven experience to meet the fast-paced expectations of a multi-million-dollar print operation.
What You'll Do
- Operate finishing equipment such as cutters, folders (MBO, Stahl), coil binders, drills, and envelope inserting machines
- Execute post-press tasks like collating, folding, spiral binding, gluing, padding, numbering, and shrink wrapping
- Read and follow job tickets to confirm specifications, deadlines, and quality expectations
- Perform regular equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with supervisors, production managers, and other team members to meet production goals
- Maintain safety standards and follow OSHA-compliant procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a bindery or finishing role, preferably in a high-volume commercial print environment
- Experience with mail equipment and finishing tools beyond retail or small-shop levels
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Comfortable with a hands-on, fast-paced production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
