Press Operator I

Gannett Publishing Services Auburn, MA Duties:

Set up press conveyor/stacker system for press runs. Stack down newspapers as directed and deliver the Mailroom for further processing. Count, sort, and strap bundles as required. Assist the press crew with all phases of setup, run, maintenance and housekeeping duties on the presses and in the department. Train to understand the Offset reproduction process and continuously work on the skills necessary to correctly and efficiently operate the printing presses and auxiliary department equipment. Strictly adhere to all safety directives for the department, the plant and the Company.Strictly adhere to all Company policies and directives.Consistently demonstrates reliability, punctuality, excellent communication skills and comprehension, good mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.Schedule flexibility, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts is expected.
