AMADA Press Brake experience REQUIRED


We are looking for a Press Brake Operator Engineer for a very important client.


Purpose: To ensure that all parts for COMPANY products are formed to the highest quality standards and completed in a timely fashion as dictated by standards for each part


Brake Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Amanda press brakes using proper tools and methods.

Calibrate brakes daily before beginning production.

Choose tooling by studying part drawings.

Program CNC controls to achieve proper bending dimensions and tolerance.

Keeps records of bending so all jobs can be repeated easily.


Metal Stamping Responsibilities:

Set up and operate all stamping presses using proper tools and methods.

Set and adjust dies.

Set and adjust feeders.

Set and adjust uncoilers and recoilers.

Set strip lubricators.

Install safety barriers to ensure safe operation.

Test setups for proper feed and part quality.

Store completed parts in bins to maintain visual inventory.

Check visual inventory regularly to be aware of stock requirements.

Report coil stock needs to purchasing.


General Responsibilities:

Performs first piece quality check to verify piece meets manufacturing specifications.

Responsible for ensuring all parts are manufactured to standards and specifications.

Works according to priorities as shown on Dispatch List

Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled.

Perform all preventive and periodic maintenance and document.

Follows safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and wears PPE at all times.

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept, and tools are returned to designated area and organizes work area following 5S rules.

Trains all brake and stamping press operators.

Flexible to support other work center processes as dictated by production demand.

The ideal candidate will posses the following skills.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Communicates in English (speaks, reads, writes)

Proficient in operating and setting up Amada press brakes.

Proficient in operating and setting up power presses.

Able to read measuring devices such as ruler, dial caliper, angle gauge.

Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Flexible and able to adapt to change.

Problem solving, creative thinking skills, and mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.

Able to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.

Able to lift to 50 pounds.


Education:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or its equivalent

3 to 6 years fabrication experience
