As a Prepared Foods Cook, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to food preparation and maintaining our delicious cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation while also providing exemplary service to our customers and fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare food items according to production sheets for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars.
- Ensure consistency and quality by strictly following recipes.
- Label, date, cover, and monitor all prepared items for freshness and quality, ensuring proper rotation.
- Maintain timely replenishment of food levels.
- Arrive at your work station ready to perform, being appropriately groomed and dressed for service.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and respond promptly to customer needs, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
- Maximize sales potential through effective prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of products.
- Adhere to established health and sanitation procedures, including safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area; ensure proper organization of walk-ins and freezers according to WFM standards.
- Complete opening, mid, and closing duties as required, ensuring accurate signs and pricing.
- Report any safety hazards or violations immediately.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by store leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Solid product knowledge and culinary skills.

- Requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and various temperature extremes.
- Ability to work in both wet and dry conditions on a flexible schedule.
