The Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson is currently seeking a full-time Prep Cook to join the dynamic team at our beautiful new hotel.

The Prep Cook assists in preparing food products for the hotel kitchen with recipes and proper cooking techniques. Assists the Chef in ensuring proper cost control, effective safety, and sanitation procedures, and the highest quality standards in timing, taste, and presentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works the cold line and ensures all product is fresh and organized for service.
  • Ensures completion of all prep and menu items in accordance with recipes and special requests. Assists the kitchen with preparing food for all facets of the kitchen when asked.
  • Preps for soups, salads, teppanyaki, sushi, and other areas as needed.
  • Communicates effectively between shifts and ensures adequate prep for the next shift.
  • Assists with the cleanliness of the kitchen, reach-in, coolers, floors, and equipment.
  • Maintains adequate par levels of product in accordance with the requests of the kitchen chef.
  • Assists with the organization of ingredients, recipes, and/or supplies to ensure consistency and an organized and efficient production of all menu items.
  • Exhibits flexibility and emotional control when dealing with last-minute changes and special requests.
  • Works closely and maintains a positive working relationship with all hotel kitchen and stewarding team members.
Required Skills:
  • Culinary skills relevant to the position.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute recipes to perfection.
  • Associate must be able to communicate in English both written and verbal.
  • Must have prep cooking experience, preferably in a similar environment.
