POSITION: Cook
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt- Part Time-Hourly
ASM Global, the world's leading venue management and services company, has an and immediate opening for the position of Cook in Richmond, Virginia. Under direction of the Executive Chef, the Part Time Cook's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure meals maintain a high level of quality and are prepared in a consistent and timely manner
Supervises storage areas to assist in ordering food and supplies
Monitors all leftover foods insuring proper labeling, storage usage
In consultation with the supervisor, coordinates production with meal servicing hours to ensure that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.
Carves and apportions food for serving and assists in serving meals
Fills special diet orders following menu extension guides
Maintains sanitation standards of all food production areas and the cook's refrigerator
Clean food preparation area, including utensils used and equipment; wash dishes, take out trash, mop floors
Ensure all electrical and gas appliances are turned off before leaving kitchen area and at end of shift
Responsible for daily cleaning and weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen areas
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.
Functional requirements including constant standing and walking
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning and stretching.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1-2 years experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
