Overview:
A prominent civil litigation law firm with offices across the United States is seeking an experienced Premises/General Liability Defense Attorney (Associate or Of Counsel) for its Los Angeles team. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments and offices.
- Manage litigation caseloads independently, from inception to resolution.
- Communicate regularly with clients and provide detailed status updates.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in California.
- 10+ years of experience in insurance defense, premises liability, catastrophic loss, and general liability.
- Experience in negligent security cases is a plus.
- Strong background in trial proceedings and dispositive motion practice.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal project management is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary range: $175,000-$200,000+ USD (subject to variation based on experience, location, and other factors).
