Pre-Construction Detailing and Take-Off Specialist
A leading Missoula HVAC company with a 47-year history of excellence is hiring a Pre-Construction Detailing and Take-Off Specialist. This role is for someone with a solid foundation in the mechanical and plumbing sectors and it is a pivotal role in ensuring precise, efficient and detailed pre-construction planning, contributing to the overall success of projects.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Detailing:
• Create comprehensive 3D models using Revit for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Work with architects, engineers and construction teams to ensure designs are practical and align with project specifications.
• Spot potential issues in the design phase and suggest solutions to mitigate risks. Take-Offs and Estimating:
• Conduct detailed material take-offs using Trimble MEP estimating software for accurate cost estimations.
• Use Trimble Scanning and Layout Tools for precise measurement and estimation tasks.
• Prepare and review bid packages, ensuring all necessary components and labor are included in the estimates.
• Analyze project plans to identify and quantify material requirements, labor costs and time frames. Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and construction teams for seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, providing insights and technical expertise to support project planning and execution.
• Assist in value engineering processes to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Why you want this position:
• Wage: $60,000 + / year DOE
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Primarily office based with occasional site visits Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-construction detailing and take-off, specifically in the mechanical and plumbing fields.
• Proven expertise in using Trimble for measurement and estimation tasks.
• Extensive experience with Revit for 3D modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations related to mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing effectively.
