JOB TITLE: Pre Access Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
As a Pre Access Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, healthcare providers, clinics, and other stakeholders within the healthcare industry. Working in a fast-paced call center environment, your primary responsibility will be to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience for callers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Physical Requirements:
Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs. This role is a desk position that may have long periods of sitting.Previous experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and healthcare regulations.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer ServiceProvide courteous, empathetic, and professional assistance to callers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by actively listening, demonstrating patience, and delivering accurate and timely information.Quality AssuranceAdhere to call center protocols and procedures, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws. Strive for excellence in customer service by continuously improving knowledge of healthcare services, policies, and processes.Team CollaborationFoster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Contribute to a supportive culture that values teamwork, respect, and continuous learning.Appointment Scheduling, Pre-Registration, and AuthorizationAssist patients in scheduling appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers, and managing calendars. Ensure accurate documentation of appointments, patient information, follow-up visits, and any necessary rescheduling or cancellations.Medical InformationDeliver accurate and reliable information to callers, adhering to healthcare regulations and privacy policies. Educate patients and healthcare providers on available services, healthcare procedures, insurance coverage, and other related topics. Verify insurance coverage, explain benefits, and help patients understand their financial responsibilities. Collaborate with the billing department to address billing discrepancies and resolve payment-related issues.
