Position Summary: The Practice Manager serves as chief operating officer for Children's Medical Center under the direction and support of the physician owners. This role is responsible for the general operation of the practice. This position serves as the most senior level manager of the practice and includes direct supervisory responsibilities of senior supervisory staff.

KEY DUTIES

Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement business plans to ensure the practice's financial health and growth. Improve patient experience and ensure that patients are satisfied with their care. Ensure operational efficiency including up-to-date technology resources and technology planning. Use foresight and industry knowledge to know what business challenges are present and yet-to-come.

Financial Management: With assistance from outside accountancy resource, handle annual budgeting process including practice billing and collections activity and coordination with insurers and other payers. Perform revenue and payer analysis and make recommendations for practice operations to Partners. Produce reporting on revenue/production trends, oversee cash management and general ledger accounts, vendor selection and overall expense management.

Compliance and Risk Management: Manage the evaluation/negotiation of malpractice insurance coverage option along with development of asset protection strategies for practice Governance and Organization. Coordinate and execute governance-related procedures for entries and exits of physician partners. Ensure practice compliance processes and procedures are adequate and reviewed frequently.

Leadership: Effectively lead senior staff and set the bar for internal leadership expectations. Assist Partners in leadership opportunities, acting as an internal advisor. Demonstrate excellent communication skills both up and down in the organization. Participate in staff planning. Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to be resourceful and maintain professionalism in stressful environments

Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field

Master's degree in business or health administration preferred

Five years' experience in medical practice management including broad responsibility for supervision of staff and operations across functional areas and locations

Leadership skills that create a strong company culture

Understanding of larger healthcare landscape including compliance requirements, legal challenges and growth strategies

Ability to lead meetings and present information in a way that insights action
