A Fortune 500 corporate services company is looking for a PR & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS SENIOR MANAGER to join its in-house team and play a critical role in the external communications strategy for the company while also providing value-add public relations and issues management support. This is a hybrid position based in Dallas, TX.
PR & External Communications SR. Manager RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thrives as an individual contributor and is comfortable advising senior leaders, developing and executing communication strategies, and leading hands-on media engagement. ( no direct reports currently, with future management potential.)
- Lead and implement external communications strategies that support business goals and elevate corporate reputation.
- Alongside Communications Team members, serve as a primary communications contact at the company, overseeing: media relations and thought leadership; stakeholder engagement and strategic messaging; crisis communications in partnership with other high-level internal stakeholders,
- Provide strategic public affairs and PR counsel to affiliate businesses, including messaging development, issues escalation, and materials review.
- Develop and refine key communications deliverables, including: key messaging, Q&As, and leadership communications, internal comms, and executive briefings.
- Act as the communications lead for the Dallas office, triaging employee requests, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring regional initiatives align with corporate objectives.
- Support executive visibility efforts, including speaker engagement, event promotion, and media training.
- Maintain and manage relationships with external agencies and internal partners, ensuring seamless communication and effective execution
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve agency partnerships, and strengthen the company's external communications infrastructure
PR & External Communications SR. Manager QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 - 15 years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on media relations, public affairs, and crisis communications.
- Experience in financial services and/or real estate sectors.
- Experience working at both agencies and in-house is strongly preferred.
- Strong executive presence and polish; skilled in advising and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Adept at both corporate communications and PR strategy development and hands-on execution.
- Confident working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and portfolio companies.
- Comfortable being the solo representative of the Communications team in the office.
- Strong project management, writing, and cross-functional communication skills.
- People management experience with an Interest in future management and mentorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field.
- MUST be able to come into the company's Dallas, TX office 3 days/week. Fully remote candidates, those requiring relocation, or those that cannot meet this requirement will not be considered.
