Job Details
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting operations of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting principles and company policies. This role will be responsible for managing monthly close processes, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements for a publicly traded company. Experience in manufacturing accounting and proficiency in NetSuite is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and complete in a timely manner.
Account Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations for all general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
Cost Accounting: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to track costs related to inventory, production, and manufacturing processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation and variance analysis.
Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials for internal and external audits and work with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Tax Compliance: Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
NetSuite: Utilize NetSuite ERP system for financial transactions, reporting, and analytics. Help streamline and improve processes within NetSuite to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Internal Controls: Assist in the maintenance of internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Public Company Reporting: Assist in preparation for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and other regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with public company reporting requirements.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
