Job Description
The Shift Engineer is responsible for the complete care and maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the hotel, including high- and low-pressure boilers, guest rooms, and related engineering equipment.
What you will be doing:
- Attend to all guest issues in 340 guest rooms.
- Support Rooms Maintenance personnel in project works in guest rooms.
- Take temperature readings of all supply air units, tenant spaces, meeting rooms, restaurants, guest rooms, converters, walk-in freezers, and refrigerators, and identify issues for rectification.
- Conduct walk-throughs in all hotel areas to visually inspect, repair, and report deficiencies.
- Maintain all other engineering equipment such as chillers/cooling equipment, boilers, guarded status, and pools.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Provincial 5th class power engineering ticket from the Department of Labour.
- At least 2 years of experience in a 4th class power plant, including high-pressure boilers.
- Knowledge of centrifugal chillers is an asset.
- Willingness to learn.
