• Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards based on business requirements, leveraging complex DAX formulas for advanced calculations.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, objectives, and reporting requirements.
• Extract, synthesize, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless integration into client reports.
• Develop user acceptance testing (UAT) guidelines and scripts, conduct testing, and manage sign-off for go-live deployment.
• Maintain Power BI dashboard security, ensuring appropriate access control.
• Run custom ad hoc queries, conduct in-depth data analysis, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Implement best practices for data handoffs between analysts and data engineering teams.
• Monitor data accuracy, perform validation checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
• Assist with designing enhanced reporting to meet evolving business needs.
• Act as go-to Power BI resource, guiding stakeholders on best practices and functionality.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualization
• Proficiency in DAX formulas for advanced calculations and data modeling, star schema, and row level security
• Experience with data integration from multiple sources and ETL processe
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst PL-300 Certification or equivalent knowledge required
• Experience with UAT development and testing processe
• Familiarity with automation tools for data extraction and transformation (Alteryx Designer Core Certification a plus)
• Experience with scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, statistical methods, and data modeling a plu
• Experience manipulating and analyzing large data set
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 for Enterprise applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with healthcare/employee benefits insurance datasets and terminology a plu
• Understanding of data governance and security best practice
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skill
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skill
• Ability to work well in a fast paced and team-based environment
• Handles confidential information in the best interest of both client and company
