Position Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Power Apps Developer Consultant. We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Power Apps Developer with significant Power BI expertise. In this exciting role, you will design, develop, and maintain custom business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform while leveraging Power BI to create impactful data visualizations and analytics solutions that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement full-scale solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, including both canvas and model-driven applications crafted specifically to meet diverse business needs.
- Create engaging, responsive interfaces for web and mobile applications with a focus on user experience, performance, and compliance with accessibility standards.
- Design and execute sophisticated data integration strategies by connecting Power Apps to various data sources such as SharePoint lists, Dataverse, SQL Server, Excel, and third-party APIs through custom connectors.
- Produce detailed Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that convert raw data into actionable insights using DAX, M language, and advanced data modeling techniques.
- Establish secure and efficient data connections between Power Apps solutions and Power BI reports, ensuring real-time data synchronization and appropriate access controls.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, translating their needs into clear technical specifications while presenting various solution options with advantages and disadvantages.
- Automate complex workflows using Power Automate to enhance business processes by incorporating conditional logic, approvals, notifications, and error handling.
- Document solutions in detail, including solution architecture diagrams, data models, process flows, and user guides for end-users and system administrators.
- Conduct thorough debugging and troubleshooting across the Power Platform ecosystem to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions effectively.
- Stay updated with and implement new Power Platform features and updates, assessing their impact and recommending strategies for adoption.
Qualifications: Required - 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microsoft Power Apps, including experience with canvas and model-driven applications.
- Proficiency in Power BI development, specifically in crafting complex reports, dashboards, and implementing data models using star schema design principles.
- Solid expertise in DAX formulas and measures for conducting data calculations and analysis in Power BI.
- Experience with Power Query (M language) for effective data transformation and preparation.
- Strong capability in utilizing Power Automate for creating multi-step approval workflows and automated notifications.
- Deep understanding of data connectivity options and integration with various sources like SQL Server, SharePoint, Excel, Dataverse, and external APIs.
- Familiarity with configuring security environments, including sharing settings and role-based permissions.
- Experience in responsive design for applications compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the Power Platform efficiently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse structures, entity relationships, and customization features.
- Experience with SharePoint Online list and library integration with Power Platform.
- Strong SQL skills for effective data querying and manipulation.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred - Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-300, or PL-400).
- Experience with custom entities, forms, business rules, and plugins in Dataverse.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for advanced component customization.
- Experience integrating Azure services, including Logic Apps, Functions, and API Management.
- Background in SQL Server database design, optimization, and management.
- Experience in business process analysis and workflow optimization.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in enterprise settings.
- Familiarity with Power Virtual Agents for chatbot development.
Work Location This position requires onsite presence at client locations and/or our San Francisco office up to 2 days each week. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is hybrid (partial remote/partial onsite) and not eligible for full remote work.

Compensation As mandated by California law, the base salary range for this position in San Francisco is $95,000 to $145,000. The actual salary will be based on various factors, including specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
