Skill/Experience/Education

• Mandatory Skills 10+ years relevant client experience in similar technology (does not include training period).
• Including at least 5 years of on-site client experience in similar technology and domain -
• Min Education - Bachelors degree in technology, Masters preferred
• Desired Skills : Administers, manages, and monitors all systems, including databases, in development, test, stage, and production environments.
• Design and implementation of Postgres databases, high-availability solutions, replication, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Working experience with Postgres in AWS is must.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in an enterprise environment with 10+ years of overall DBA experience.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, administration, and tuning.
• Experience with backup & recovery solutions such as pgBackRest, Barman, or similar tools.
• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with replication and high availability setups (e.g., Streaming Replication, Patroni, Pgpool-II, etc.).
• Knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting for database automation.
• Familiarity with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
