Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Structural & Cellular Biology

Description:A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in a well-funded laboratory to study the role of microbiome on development of progression of enterohepatic disease. The primary focus of our research is to employ molecular, cellular, preclinical approaches to understand the mechanisms related to gut-liver axis, bile acid homeostasis, and nutritional and immune response during gut and liver metabolism. Recent research also focuses on the development of probiotic-based therapy for alcohol-associated liver disease, non-alcoholic liver disease, liver fibrosis, and cancer.
Qualifications:Ph.D. in biomedical research or equivalent doctoral degree
Experience working with model organisms
Strong expertise in molecular biology, microbiology, or immunology techniques
Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis
Have manuscripts published or under review
Experience with presenting his/her research at local or national scientific conferences
Experience in training graduate and undergraduate students
