Our client is seeking an Implementation Specialist to perform onsite installation and training services for the implementation of company software and resold hardware products. The Implementation Specialist will primarily operate as a secondary or team resource to an established Project Lead and/or Project Manager or may be positioned to lead portions of a project as part of a project team during an installation engagement. The Implementation Specialist must be able to efficiently manage the planning and communication of assigned project tasks, communicate professionally with coworkers, project stakeholders, and customers, learn new products and processes quickly, balance multiple priorities, and develop a solid understanding of company products (hardware and software) in all vertical markets.

The position requires 90% travel across the United States and Internationally, with limited advanced notice.

Your duties as a POS Implementation Specialist will include:
  • Consult with Project Management regarding operational considerations and configuration of systems to support customer requirements.
  • Make recommendations to utilize full advantages of company product line while maximizing operational efficiencies
  • Identify and manage project scope. Ensure that all parties are aware of required project tasks and milestones.
  • Work with Project Management to manage project risks, establish effective communication plans for escalation process, and provide solutions.
  • Gather site requirements, review and recommend operational design as it pertains to installation preparedness to Project Management.
  • Configure and test system configuration in order to maximize efficiency and provide operational consistency.
  • Work with Project Management and Integration Team to ensure all applicable interfaces and integration components are scheduled and tested.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions.
  • Live monitor operations by providing end-user assistance for the various business cases where the company product line is implemented.
  • Coordinate with the client teams to develop processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance our implementation and training services.
  • Develop detailed project documentation upon completion of the project to ensure that the Customer Care team has all relevant information to handle support for the client going forward.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Requirements for success in the role of Implementation Specialist:
  • Available to travel 90% of the time across the US and Internationally
  • 2+ years of experience with onsite installation of POS products/hospitality industry experience a must.
  • 2+ years of experience with onsite training of POS products
  • Strong experience with preparing training materials and conducting training sessions for groups.
  • Strong technical skills in software, networks, and cloud technology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, project stakeholders, and customers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly up to $31/hr.
