Job Description Summary

Leads development of scientific communication platform (scientific statements, lexicon, and scientific narrative) aligned with Therapeutic Areas for launch assets/disease area, including publication and medical education strategy and execution.

Job Description

Major Accountabilities:

  1. Develops, implements, and disseminates strategic global scientific communication plans for assigned launch assets/disease areas.
  2. Aligns scientific communication strategies with Therapeutic Areas.
  3. Leads cross-functional publication teams and develops global publication plans.
  4. Collaborates with Therapeutic Area teams to develop scientific communication platforms, including statements, lexicon, and narratives.
  5. Executes strategies with a focus on stakeholder engagement, utilizing enterprise thinking.
  6. Tracks and measures the impact of scientific communication plans in partnership with relevant teams.
  7. Manages congress scientific communications, including data interpretation and internal/external messaging.
  8. Prepares and aligns congress narratives with Therapeutic Area strategies.
  9. Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including medical experts and speakers.
  10. Leads innovative pilots and initiatives in scientific communication.
  11. Manages publication and medical education vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  12. Oversees project budgets, vendor negotiations, and contractual obligations.
Requirements

Must have:

  • 7+ years' experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, especially in publication planning and medical education.
  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent in life sciences or healthcare preferred.
  • Experience in developing communication strategies and scientific platforms.
  • Ability to guide scientific messaging, publication planning, and medical education development.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to lay audiences.
  • Understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strategic, innovative, and impact-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment across functions and regions.
