Searching for a credit-focused professional with strong underwriting skills and a background working within a commercial lending environment. The ideal candidate has formal credit training and experience analyzing mid to large corporate companies. This person will support deal execution-assessing credit risk, preparing underwriting materials, and navigating transactions through our internal approval process. A keen understanding of commercial credit fundamentals and attention to detail are essential. Experience in the non-bank lender space is a plus but not required.
This role involves:
- Facilitating decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions.
- Maintaining a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations.
- Making credit decisions and recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies & Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing cross-selling initiatives to increase client penetration.
- Applying expertise in bank products, processes, and systems to ensure a high-quality client experience.
- Coordinating closing processes with relevant departments, clients, and attorneys.
- Serving as a daily escalation resource to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the business/group.
- Influencing and negotiating to achieve business objectives.
- Recommending and implementing solutions based on analysis.
- Conducting independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
- Helping determine business priorities and strategy execution sequencing.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for stakeholders.
- Participating in developing financial models and analytical tools.
- Designing and producing reports and dashboards.
- Staying current on financing trends and communicating insights.
- Leading or participating in communication plans to influence behavior and develop messaging.
- Overseeing preparation of concise credit correspondence.
- Coordinating lending proposals and pitches to maximize returns.
- Negotiating transactions and providing deal structuring expertise.
- Overseeing documentation and monitoring client performance.
- Managing workflow of analysts, if applicable.
- Providing financial analysis and risk assessments.
- Partnering with stakeholders for accurate client information.
- Developing credit information for lending decisions.
- Assisting in negotiations of loan terms and conditions.
- Preparing summaries and opinions on creditworthiness.
- Minimizing risk exposure by adhering to credit policies.
- Contributing to operational programs and building stakeholder relationships.
- Providing consulting, analytical, and technical support.
- Using judgment to solve problems within rules.
- Working independently on non-routine situations.
Qualifications:
- Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in the field.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and influence skills.
- Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Salary:
$87,000.00 - $161,400.00
